SchoolForce is proud to introduce The Dave Karlin SchoolForce Endowment Fund, the new official name for SchoolForce’s board-designated endowment fund, effective June 12, 2018.
The Dave Karlin SchoolForce Endowment Fund is SchoolForce’s sole quasi-endowment, created to provide a lasting legacy for future Belmont-Redwood Shores students. Named after SchoolForce founder and inaugural Board President Dave Karlin, the fund is designed to provide an enduring and self-sustaining source of revenue for our excellent BRSSD schools.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation via a one-time donation, planned giving in your estate plan, or tribute donations in the form of cash and/or stock. Your support for enduring funding to continue the legacy of excellent education for the Belmont Redwood-Shores School District is appreciated.
The Fund’s balance as of Q3 2020 stands at approximately $828,000, thanks to seed funding from the Karlin family and countless other generous individuals & organizations, and via ongoing fund donations and investment growth.
Significantly, Crystal Springs Uplands School has generously agreed to donate a total of $1.2 million to the Fund via annual $50,000 contributions during the period 2018 to 2021, culminating with a final $1 million contribution in January 2022.
This quasi-endowment fund’s Investment Committee assists the SchoolForce Board in fulfilling its fiduciary responsibilities for prudent investment of the funds, as directed by its Board-approved Investment Policies.
