Sandra Sanvido

President
Sandra Sanvido

Sandra has served on the SchoolForce board since 2017. She was previously VP, Strategic Communications as well as the Fox Chair. Sandra and her husband, Marco, have lived in Belmont since 2007. They have two sons: one at Ralston and one at Carlmont. Sandra has been actively involved in the community as an avid school volunteer, former Fox PTA Board member, and a leader in Cub Scouts.

Professionally, Sandra is an independent CRM and Marketing Strategy Consultant. She has an MBA from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University.

Eric Bookstein

Treasurer
Eric Bookstein

Eric has been living in the Bay Area for over 15 years and has lived in the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District for almost 10 years. He and his wife have two sons at Nesbit School. Eric is currently on the SchoolForce board as treasurer and has previously served as financial secretary.

He currently works at Visa as a Vice President in the Strategy Group. He has an MBA from Rice University and a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Indiana University.

Hector Casab

Secretary
Hector Casab

Hector Casab joined the SchoolForce Board in 2018 and serves in the role of Secretary. Hector is married to Julia Williams, and they have two children, one at Ralston and one at Carlmont. He has been actively involved in the district over the years.

Hector is CFO for an emerging biotech company here in the Bay Area and is a member of the Band of Angels. He earned his MBA from Santa Clara University.

Aaron Daru

VP Operations
Aaron Daru

Aaron's has been on the SchoolForce board since 2018. He has twin boys at Ralston and has lived in Belmont for more than 10 years.

Aaron is also president and lead consultant at Daru Consulting Inc. -- which provides website development, maintenance and programming services. Prior to Daru Consulting, Aaron worked in New York for Merrill Lynch and then as a consultant for Alliance Capital. He went to Cornell University and graduated with a B.S. in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering.

Mylinh Nightengale

Mylinh Nightengale

Mylinh has served on the SchoolForce board since 2015. She has been serving as the VP of Events by spearheading the annual Spring Gala and Auction. Prior to joining the board she served as the Redwood Shores Elementary, PTA President and VP of Fundraising. Her goal is to continue to communicate and promote the importance of an education foundation within the District. Though her children moved on to high school years ago, she continues to enjoy volunteering within her community.

Professionally her background includes over a decade within the financial industry working for Bear Stearns and Citibank. She holds a degree from Arizona State and is currently working part-time as a project consultant.

Ying Gonikman

Ying Gonikman

Ying Gonikman joined the SchoolForce board in 2018. Ying was part of the Measure K campaign serving as chair for VoterCircle. After Measure K passed, she continued to advocate for school funding by serving as Sandpiper Chair. She has been a resident in Redwood Shores since 2009 and has two children at Sandpiper Elementary School. Ying enjoys volunteering in class rooms and in youth sports leagues. She is excited to work on encouraging parent community involvement at all levels and ensuring that the schools in our district continue to excel.

Ying holds a BA degree in Computer Science from UC Berkeley and works at Oracle. Ying is an avid reader and loves being in the outdoors.

Cristen Shinbashi

Financial Secretary
Cristen Shinbashi

Cristen has been living in the Bay Area for over 24 years and has two children attending Sandpiper School. She serves on several boards including AYSO and NorCal Collie Rescue and is excited to be part of the School Force team.

She currently works at Stanford University in the Provost's Office - Faculty Affairs, and has a BA degree from UC Santa Barbara.

Carisa Olivo

Carisa Olivo

Carisa joined the SchoolForce board in 2019, after many years volunteering at Central Elementary’s PTA, including 4 years on the district-wide PTA Council. She has been working to better align and coordinate PTA and SchoolForce fund raising efforts and is very excited about the launch of the Education Commitment Campaign.

Carisa and her husband, Leo Leung, have two children: one at Ralston Middle and one at Carlmont High School. She worked as a funder and community builder at United Way in Boston and Pittsburgh. She has a BA in political science from Amherst College and MA in urban and environmental policy from Tufts University.

Alison ten Cate

Alison ten Cate

Alison has two daughters, one at Carlmont and one at Sandpiper. She and her family have lived in Redwood Shores and Belmont since 2006. When her older daughter was in Kindergarten and the district was facing severe budget and staffing cuts, Alison and her husband realized just how important SchoolForce is for our children’s educations, and they’ve been supporters ever since. Alison has served as the Sandpiper School Chair and President of the Board.

Tim Hoffman

Tim Hoffman

Tim and his wife Anne were both born and raised on the Peninsula, and have lived in Belmont for over 20 years. They have two children attending Ralston and one at Carlmont High School.

His professional background includes positions as a professional economist with particular emphases on applied finance and economic & consumer research. Tim also has extensive product management & development experience in the financial services industry. Tim holds BA and MA Degrees in Economics from U.C. Santa Barbara.

Bernadette Doerr

Central
Bernadette Doerr

Bernadette has been on the SchoolForce board since 2019. She represents Central Elementary. She also serves on the board of the Buck Scholars Association.

Professionally, Bernadette helps companies assess culture and manage change. She studied leadership & culture as a PhD student (Haas School of Business), and attended Georgetown University many moons ago (BSBA/MSFS). She enjoys LEGO-building with her son and husband, exploring Belmont with their German Shepherd, and penning brief autobiographical sketches in the third person.

Jeff Goldman

Jeff Goldman

Jeff Goldman is a father of two daughters at Cipriani and Ralston. Jeff and his wife, Juliette, are excited to become more involved in SchoolForce and to tackle the challenge of education when every day is "work from home" and a snow day all rolled into one.

Jeff can be seen performing with Pied Piper Players or walking the family Maltipoo, Max, and when time allows, he's an executive compensation attorney with Gunderson Dettmer. Previously, Jeff had a career in public relations at both for- and non-profit entities.

Sue Constantinides

Fox
Sue Constantinides

Sue Constantinides is the SchoolForce Chair for Fox Elementary. She and her husband, Paul, moved to Belmont in 2011 and have two Fox students who love to learn. Sue appreciates the community feel of the Belmont-Redwood Shores community and volunteers as a soccer coach, sits on the PTA Board at Fox, and volunteers on various committees.

She graduated high school as a student in the CA public school system and has her BS Psychology degree from nearby Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Sue has 20+ years of corporate recruiting and team management experience.

Nivedita Sahasrabudhe

Nesbit
Nivedita Sahasrabudhe

Nivedita is excited to represent Nesbit on the SchoolForce Board. She brings many years of volunteering experience at various levels - co-op preschool Board President and Secretary, chairing events at Nesbit, representing Nesbit on the PTA Council and working in the classroom. Nivedita and her husband, Anand, have two boys. One is a Ralston Ram and the other a Nesbit Puma.

Nivedita holds a BE in Electrical Engineering from India and an MS in Computer Science from The Ohio State University. For eight years she worked as a graphics software engineer at an incredibly special, award winning animation and special effects studio. She earned a tiny credit for the movie The Incredible Hulk.

Tiffany Booth

Tiffany Booth

Tiffany has served as SchoolForce Chair since 2017, first at Cipriani Elementary and then Ralston Middle, while also volunteering with the PTA. She is excited about the Education Commitment Campaign collaboration between SchoolForce and PTA to better align fundraising efforts and utilize the funds to best meet the needs of all students in our Belmont Redwood Shores School District.

She enjoys the endless task of guiding two middle school young men to be engaged and upstanding people of the world. Before staying home, Tiffany worked 12yrs in the mortgage industry, previously at Wells Fargo, and more recently a private money lender. She holds a BS in Biological Science from NCSU.

Jennifer Hom

Jennifer Hom

Jennifer joined the SchoolForce board in 2020 as SchoolForce Chair for Redwood Shores Elementary. Jennifer and her husband, Jeff, moved to Redwood Shores in 2009 and watched as the goats cleared the land to make way for the school. They have two girls at Redwood Shores Elementary.

Jennifer is active in her community, leading two Girl Scout troops and coordinating assemblies at Redwood Shores Elementary for the last 3 years. Previously, Jennifer managed software QA teams for various startups in Silicon Valley. Jennifer is looking forward to working with the community to further support our schools.

Ying Li

Ying Li

Ying Li joined the SchoolForce board in 2020. She has been a resident in Redwood Shores since 2012 and has two children at Sandpiper Elementary School. Ying enjoys volunteering in classrooms and outdoor activities. Ying is focused on the essential work of supporting of the school community and encouraging family involvement at all levels. Ying holds a BS degree in Engineering from Harvard, a PhD in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley and is a marketing leader at Gilead Sciences.
