SchoolForce is committed to raising money to preserve smaller class sizes for our children, and supporting programs for them like music, technology, science & reading specialists, athletics, classroom aides and librarians. SchoolForce’s fundraising goal is $2M during this 2016-2017 school year. Thank you for supporting your Education Foundation to ensure that our children receive an excellent education in the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District.
Reading Power Read-a-thon
Thank you for supporting our kids by making a donation to our annual Reading Power Read-A-Thon (January 20th to February 3rd, 2017). This fun two week event is our second largest fundraiser (behind annual giving) and encourages the love of reading while raising money for our schools. Annual Giving Campaign
Suggested Donation Levels – 2016-2017
SchoolForce’s 2016 Annual Giving Campaign runs through June 2017, raising funds for the next 2017-2018 school year. This year we are asking families to donate $1,500 per student, which is the amount we need to fund vital programs. Our per-student ask remains the same as last year. If you can give more, please do. We encourage you to join our Scholar’s Circle with a donation of $3,500 or more. Please donate whatever you can — donations of any amount will help to ensure that our children continue to receive a quality education. If everyone gives what they can, every child benefits.
You may choose to donate by secure electronic check (our preferred method) or by credit card. We strongly encourage paper or electronic check donations to reduce the cost of fees. (For example, a $1,500 donation made by credit card costs $37.50 in fees compared with a $0.75 fee for an electronic check.) To make an online donation with check or credit card (one time or recurring monthly payment), complete the donation form on the right. You may also donate to SchoolForce by mailing a check to our P.O. Box or dropping it off in your school office. To make a one time or recurring monthly donation online using an electronic check or credit card, complete the donation form on the right. Monthly Recurring Donations
For many, giving monthly instead of in a lump sum is a more manageable way to make a donation to SchoolForce. SchoolForce needs your donation for next school year by June 30th. A donation of $1,500 per child by June 30th means just over $4 per day, or $125 per month per child to support quality education. Use the table below to calculate your monthly donation and fill out the donation form to set up a recurring monthly donation using a credit card or electronic check (selecting the Bank ACH / Direct Debit option).
Donations By Mail
To make your donation by check, make your check payable to “SchoolForce” and mail to the address listed below or drop off at any school office in the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District.
End of Year Tax Letters
A receipt for tax purposes will be emailed by the end of January for donations made the prior calendar year. If you need a receipt other than that at a different time (for company matching purposes for example) you can request one at email@example.com.
