What is our Mission?
The mission of School-Force is to raise money for teachers and programs to ensure an exceptional education for the children of the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District.
What are our Core Values?
Work together to:
- Drive educational excellence
- Lead community involvement in education
- Use public resources effectively
- Develop well-rounded children
- Build a life-long love of learning
When Was School-Force Founded and Why?
School-Force was founded in 2001 by a group of parents looking to save key educational programs that were slated to disappear from the district due to budget shortfalls. Over the past nine years, School-Force has raised over 2.6 million dollars to keep quality education programs across the six schools of the Belmont-Redwood Shores school district.
In addition to raising funds, School-Force is dedicated to raising community awareness of the key issues faced by our district, and of the steps that we can take as a community to ensure that all of our children receive a quality public education.
How is the Money Spent?
Each year the School-Force Board works with the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District to identify key funding requirements that are not met by other district revenue sources. This year School-Force donations are funding the elementary school instrumental music program, reading specialists, science specialists, and extended library hours.
