Save the Music – Communications Team Lead (April-October)
Communications point person for the Board and the Save the Music Team. Oversee five key communications volunteers and ensure all aspect of publicity and marketing communications come together for the Oct 6 Festival. Attend monthly Save the Music Team meetings, manage expectations and report back to Communications Chair on progress towards goals. Help develop script for School-Force emcees at the event. (10 hours/month)
Save the Music – Media Relations / Publicity (May-August)
Edit existing press release and public service announcement promoting the October 6 event and submit to local radio, print, online calendars. Develop and submit short articles to local media and School Chairs. Work with School-Force social media team and STM vendors to promote via social channels. (5-10 hours/month)
Save the Music – Web Team (May-October)
Be point person responsible for updating music schedule and all website content related to October 6 event. (10 hours/month)
Save the Music – Marketing Communications (May-October)
Edit existing ad and reserve space in local media. Reserve space for banners in spots throughout the community. Manage creation and production of flyers for schools and 11×17 posters for merchants. Manage School-Force Philanthropy booth at the October 6 event and recruit volunteers to help man the booth; develop creative ideas to draw attendees to the booth. (10 hours/month)
Save the Music – Marketing Logistics (August-October)
Deliver banners and signage to School Chairs and City Hall. Recruit team of ten to distribute 500 11×17 posters at merchants across Belmont, San Carlos, San Mateo and Redwood City. (20 hours total)
Data Analyst / Analytics Assistant

Support Analytics and Benchmarking Chair with the creation and occasional updating of data sheets and reports. Skills/experience desired: (1) Analyzing and synthesizing information from multiple sources, (2) manipulating data and information in Microsoft Excel and (3) creating custom reports and charts. |

Board Member role for School-Force 2012-13. Leads the back-office / operations teams. The scope of the operations teams covers data entry, donor support, matching support, fleece / yard sign distribution, thank-you notes, tax letters.

As part of our recent implementation of Salesforce.com, we need volunteers with Salesforce experience who can help us develop the reports needed to support School-Force. If you have Salesfore experience and want a very flexible volunteer job, this may be perfect for you!

Thank You Note Writer
|
Do you want a job that makes a huge impact on our donors but is completely flexible? Then volunteer to help writing thank-you notes for our donors and Scholar’s Circle members. You will be responsible for generating thank you letters (through the system or in some cases handwritten) and mailing car decals and other donor materials.

Writer – Newsletters and Communications

Are you a good communicator in written form? We need your help writing newsletters and other communications that go out to the parents, community members and teachers. Work hours are flexible and, based on our communication plan, you can see what will be needed over the next few months and plan your volunteer schedule.
