Come celebrate The Eleventh Annual Save the Music Festival on October 6! The Festival showcases performances from Belmont-Redwood Shores and Carlmont High School students; local musical acts; the impressive Battle of the Marching Bands; a large children’s area with a wide variety of hands-on activities; and delicious food and beverages from local eateries and gourmet food trucks. A printable copy of the festival map will be available here when it’s finalized!

2013 Performance Schedule – Plans Underway!

Four stages of music featuring:

  • The top Tribute Bands in the Bay Area
  • Bands, Orchestras, Choirs, & Dance Troupes from our local Elementary Schools, Middle Schools, & High Schools
  • Community Youth and Adult Orchestras, Theater and Dance Troupes
  • Rock, Jazz, R&B, and Funk Bands
  • Marching Bands from Stanford & UC Davis, & the Carlmont High School Drum Line
  • Children’s Entertainers
  • Future Stars of the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District -
    Talented young musicians from our elementary and middle schools performing solo and chamber group pieces

Event Highlights

Save the Music University (STM U) features fun and educational activities run by:

  • Frisbee spin art
  • Face painting
  • And of course the world famous Musical Instrument Petting Zoo!

Children’s Area with fun for both younger & older kids:

    • Slides & bounce houses

    • Games
    • and an airplane from the Hiller Aviation Museum!!

In addition, Twin Pines Park’s own Book Nook, Manor Art Gallery, and Creekside Potters will all be open for public enjoyment during the Save the Music Festival.

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED! Hundreds of dedicated volunteers make this event special every year! Volunteers are needed for both Saturday setup and for shifts during the event. Click here for a printable copy of the festival map. Ample free parking is available at the Belmont Caltrain station, Notre Dame High School, and NDNU parking lots. Suggested donation for entrance to the Festival is $10 per adult and $5 per child, to help offset festival expenses and ensure that every possible dollar goes to our schools.
