School-Force Corporate Matching Gifts program is an excellent way to maximize contributions. In fact, Corporate Matching gifts can, depending on the company, double, and sometimes triple the original donor’s gift. In the 2008-2009 fundraising year, matching gifts totaled over $57,000.

1. How do I know if my employer matches my donation?
The best and most up-to-date answer is to check with your company’s Human Resources Department to confirm whether or not your employer matches gifts. The guidelines, policies and procedures vary by employer. Each employer has very clear guidelines as to what organizations it supports, and what the matching limits are per employee/per year.
2. My employer matches donations, what information must I provide?
The instructions are often described on the matching request form provided by your employer. This often consists of 2 parts, one which must be completed by the employee and the other which must be completed by the receiving organization, in this case School-Force. In the section for the employee, the form will request donor information, the amount of the gift and the date of the gift. The employee’s signature is often required.

4. I have completed the match request form of my employer. Where do I send it?
If you have completed the employee section of the match request form, you may send it to: School-Force, P. O. Box 5196, Belmont CA 94002.
5. Can I process the match request online?
This varies by employer, but many have the ability for you to request the match online.
6. How long does it take for the employer match to be sent to School-Force?
It often takes at least a month, and in some cases up to 6 months for a match to fully be processed and for School-Force to receive the funds. For this reason, we highly recommend for you to start the process as soon as you have issued the original donation.
7. Will I get a verification that my employer’s match has been received?
Yes, it is School-Force’s policy to send an acknowledgement that the company matching funds have been received.
