The annual donation online transactions for monthly/quarterly and annual donations are stop dated after 12 months to ensure that auto donations do not run past 12 months. Your support is typically for an annual period. You receive a confirming e-mail for your transaction after posting it online through the www.schoolforce.com “Donate Now” link. That end date is typically handled in the background by School-Force volunteers. The system does not provide an auto notification after your donation period has completed. We are setting up a manual system in which volunteers will attempt to email or call you to notify you as the end date approaches. You can request information on your account by e-mailing to onlinedonation@schoolforce.org or mail@schoolforce.org. Your message will get routed to the right individual to address your question.

How do I change the credit card number for my donations? (What do I need to do if my credit card was stolen or is expiring?)

School-Force is notified each day about online transactions that are successfully processed and those that do not go through for any reason. We work in the background to address the unprocessed items with the individual via e-mail. If your card changes for any reason, the current transaction in the system needs to be stop-dated. Please contact us at onlinedonation@schoolforce.org or mail@schoolforce.org to stop-date the old card. Then you need to go online to www.schoolforce.com and click the “Donate Now” link to establish a new recurring transaction with the new card number.

How do I increase my monthly giving amount?

First you need to contact us at onlinedonation@schoolforce.org or mail@schoolforce.org to stop-date the old transaction. Then you need to go online and set up a new transaction for the updated amount. The School-Force system does not keep a record of your credit card number, just the last 4 digits for identification and fraud control purposes, so we are unable to establish a new transaction amount for you. Go online to www.schoolforce.com click the “Donate Now” link to establish a new recurring transaction with the new amount.

Can I donate monthly for longer or shorter than one year?

Yes you can. You can stipulate your specific requirement in the “Comments:” field of the online donation form at www.schoolforce.org at the “Donate Now” link. The transaction record is forwarded internally to School-Force volunteers who will read it and address your specific term needs. They will respond to your e-mail address confirming that the set up is complete. Be sure that the term you request is within the expiration date on the card you use and you have a current e-mail address in your online account.

When I donate online, can I tell the system what date the transaction should occur?

No. The date that you enter the transaction online will be the date that the transaction is charged against your card. If the charge is a monthly or quarterly recurring entry, your card will be charged the same day each month as the initial date of entry. The exceptions to this are dates at the end of the month, i.e. the 31st/30th/29th. Months that end on the 30th will include your transaction entered on the 31st as the last day of the month. Same logic for the month of February.

If I want to make a monthly or quarterly donation, how do I do it?

As an example, if you plan to give $1200 to be applied to the following school year, divide $1200 by the number of months left in School-Force’s fiscal year (which ends in June). See the monthly giving “calculator” below to easily determine amounts. If your first donation is made in September, divide $1200 by 10, to equal $120/month. Enter the result amount in the “Other” data entry box and click the Other button. Go to the recurring donation drop-down box and select Monthly. In the comments box, please be sure to note that you’d like the donation to occur for 10 months. Otherwise, monthly donations expire after 12 months and you are notified via e-mail of the end date.
