Schools We Serve

School-Force funds the seven schools in the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District: Central, Cipriani, Fox, Nesbit, Redwood Shores, Sandpiper Elementary Schools, and Ralston Middle School.

Central Elementary

Central’s academic program strives to educate the whole child intellectually, socially, and emotionally. “There is a warmth and comfort that surrounds Central created by the wonderful staff, the caring families, and the great students we serve.”

Central received the Presidential Environmental award in 2004, was a 2005 California Distinguished School, a 2006 California Scholar School, and is one of 32 California schools to be named a 2007 National Blue Ribbon Award School Winner.

Cipriani Elementary

Cipriani school provides a safe, nurturing environment where students, parents, and staff all know each other by name.

A strong well-rounded curriculum, enhanced by art and music enrichment program including music specialists in grades K-5 and PTA-supported Art in Action program for grades K-5 helped make Cipriani a recipient of the 2004 California Distinguished School award.

Fox Elementary

Fox prides itself on a strong focus on academics (a 924 API in 2007), coupled with attention to the social and moral development of our students.

At its Monday Morning Meetings Fox kicks off each month with an emphasis on a new school-wide character trait, and each week Fox teaches students another skill they will need to apply in order to build strong character.

Nesbit K-8

Named a California Distinguished School in 2008, Nesbit seeks to create a safe, nurturing and respectful learning environment where diversity is valued. To achieve this vision, Nesbit students, parents, and staff work collaboratively to help students acquire a solid academic foundation, build strong character, resolve conflicts, develop confidence, set and achieve challenging goals, communicate effectively, and develop a love of learning.

Redwood Shores Elementary

Redwood Shores Elementary is committed to educating each child to his or her full potential through a broad, balanced and challenging program. Our goal is to cultivate a community that approaches education as a shared endeavor among parents, students and teachers and works toward establishing a solid foundation for a productive and fulfilling life.

We believe in differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all students, integrating curricular areas with the arts, theater and music instruction. The integration of technology supports students with research and helps develop their interest in the sciences.

Sandpiper K-8

Sandpiper School is committed to providing a high quality educational program that allows students to meet their academic potential in an environment that inspires a love of learning.

The staff works closely with an active parent community to provide a well rounded academic program enhanced by music, art and technology. After school enrichment classes are offered on the campus as well as at the adjacent community center.

Ralston Middle School

Named a 2007 California Distinguished School, Ralston combines a rigorous academic program (their STAR test scores are among the top 10% in the State) with daily after school programs and award-winning electives that include:

– A traveling honors band plus over 200 students involved in Chorus, Band, or Orchestra
– An extensive after school sports program with more than 300 students participating in more than 10 team and individual sports
– Daily after-school programs include Sports, after-school Clubs, Homework Tutorials, and Rams After-School childcare program.
